Foreclosure notices received by homeowners in the city hit 4,220 in the first three months of this year - a 37% jump from the end of last year, but a drop of 33% from the first months of 2008, according to newly released stats by foreclosure listing firm RealtyTrac.
More homeowners in Queens were at risk of being foreclosed on than the other boroughs, with 1,748 filings, up 7.6% from the end of last year, but down 35% from the same period a year ago.
