Well that didn't take long...

64th Street and Grand Avenue, a day after new pedestrian signal was installed. Thank you Queens DOT Commissioner Maura McCarthy and City DOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan. There are no finer representatives of the Bloomberg Administration.

Now in all seriousness, please do something about this before someone gets killed.

The Wrath of Sadik-Khan is the 5th feature nightmare based on the Bloomberg science fiction franchise, and was released in 2007 by Bloomberg Follies LLC. In the Bloomberg made- for-shit administration, Queens neighborhoods face off against the genetically-engineered tyrant Janette Sadik-Khan, a character who first appeared in the 1980s. When Sadik- Khan escapes from 18 years of incompetence in the private sector, Queens residents must stop Khan from getting her hands on a powerful but unstable terraforming device. One where she pretends to be a commissioner of the NYC Department of Transportation.
Since becoming Commissioner, she has embarked on an aggressive agenda causing the death of dozens of pedestrians in NYC.

Why don't they just throw in the towel and fix it back to the way it was. Someone is going to get killed because of this fiasco and then the city will have to pay out millions because of a law suit. For a city that doesn't have any money, they sure spend it wastefully.

The Bad Movie being played here is Groundhog Day. Do the same thing over and over again like it's the first time. Don't learn from past mistakes. How much $$$ have we wasted so far on this debacle?

There's a walk/don't sign in our neighborhood that's been blocked by a newly installed utility pole since last summer. I thought maybe they'd decided pedestrians are obsolete.

Is there any video of trucks actually hitting the lights, post's and other material around this work site. It could easily have been done by cars or jerky kids.
We'll have to wait for when it's done to see if this NEW plan actually works. It's too early now, lets be open minded and hopefully no one gets hurt in this intersection now or when it's done.
There should be a camera protecting not just the work being done at the site but also the kids in the area crossing the street. Maybe SOMEONE in the city council can work on this.

Oh man I drove through Thursday night. From 25A and up 58st it was like driving through a war zone.
---58st good gosh what a disgrace !!

All the trucks and building totally destroyed the streets. Every dam turn -- craters, sloppy patchwork and steel plates.
I ruened a front right tire and also NOW NEED a wheel alighnment on a 91 GMC Jimmy. The streets, and trench like patchwork is so bad forces you car out of lane

Meanwile the city see it fit to blow $$ millions on private seats so the Bloomberg mob can park their short fat asses at some private clubhouse in Junkyard Stadium.

Hey The Crapper said he had video. A car or SUV could easily have done the damage. Also with low test score out of the local schools, It wouldn't shock me if it were local kids or crazy locals or even you.

There was also an eyewitness.

When the traffic light originally went out, the 104 sent a patrol car to direct traffic. It was too cold out so the lazy slug cops sat in their car and tried to direct traffic by putting on their lights and driving into the intersection. They wouldnt even roll their windows down all the way to motion drivers to stop or go. They merely cracked the window a few inches and tried to direct traffic with little hand gestures. It confused the hell out of drivers coming from both directions and traffic was backed up and down Grand/Flushing.

When you combine the DOT's incompetence with the NYPD's you get quite a cluster......
