Waterfalls to have earlier daily shut off

Statement from Public Art Fund:

"Based on an updated recommendation of the Parks Department, we are reducing the hours of operation of "The New York City Waterfalls" beginning Monday, Sept. 8, from 101 hours per week to 49.5 hours per week in a further effort to stem the impact on the trees. The hours of operation will be Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sunday from 12:30 pm. to 9 p.m., and Mondays and Wednesdays from 5.30 p.m. to 9 p.m., through the scheduled end of the exhibition on Oct. 13."

The waterfalls are an eyesore, get rid of them.

I've tried to like them, but they are underwhelming. Going over the bridges is much more amazing.

It could be worst then crap.

Put some LASERS and mirrors on our skyscrpers might be art. ---And for all taxpayers to see at that.

Using the electric of a small town to pump airborn bio-hazards into the air and stink up 1/2 the city is a waste.
It's more then Crap.
Unlike a fountain. These things must be running 10,000 GPM pumps strong enought to push water 70 feet up.
Your talking Megawatts a day here
