I was excited to see this headline because I thought this story was going to be about illegal dumpsters, as we still have an
ongoing situation here in Maspeth that you may have heard about. But I read the
entire story and never found the word "dumpster" repeated in the text. That's because it's not about illegal
dumpsters, it's about illegal
dumpers (and those you can't "put a lid on"). We can't blame lack of spell check on this one. Perhaps lack of a brain was the cause. And we know it wasn't the reporter who messed this one up.

Aren't there a bunch of dumpsters living in Williamsburg?
Oh wait, those are hipsters!
Back-to-back fuckups by the News. I can't wait to see what they do tomorrow.
The Daily News Queens section is just a fancy version of the Queens Ledge.
The print edition hed is "PUTTING LID ON DUMPERS"
Then the web editor messed it up. Actually, "Putting a lid on dumpers" is a worse headline.
Dumper or dumpsters, that lid's gotta be plural.
