Most developers today have that same environmentally and aesthetically degrading formula, which stems from greed and quite possibly cheating on exams. Who the hell in their right mind would cut a harmonious home in half??
This is my personal pet peeve property all started by the building to the left of it, Saigon.
Saigon was built by a 1 man construction crew and it appears the same is occurring here. Where are the permits for this property, scaffolding etc? Someone authorized a permit for this design? Watch out, there are many elegant homes in the area that can now be converted this way. We have become something that even Saigon the city is trying hard to get away from.
This is what happens when a community is hollowed out and all that is left are the gigglers.

Loyal citizen...I agreed, they are greedy, cheap, and want to suck every penny out of your pocket!!
Its always unfortunate that alot of this happens.
A lot of this stuff happens because neighborhoods are just geographic and not social institutions anymore.
A few years ago I looked up on-line real estate records for where I was brought up. The block I lived on showed one house sale about ever 3 or 4 years till 1970 then a sale every year or two till 1980, then a sale every year and then to a year by 1990. The house I grew up in that my parents had owned for about 40 years, has been sold 4 times since we sold it in 1983. Most of the houses on the same block have gone through similar sale rates.
