MidVill farmhouse's fence of doom

Middle Village's "Furmanville Farmhouse" located at 78-04 Furmanville Avenue, a glimpse into the area's past, may be headed for demo-ville.

As of now, it faces what it's future may look like.

"fence of doom"
Good term you've coined.

You must be joking. I cannot even fathom that such a thing would be permitted!

What a shame. We will no longer have anything but pictures left of Middle Village past.

I thought this house was owned by the original family and passed down by generation. How sad!

What people will do for the almighty $$$$.

Oh yes, cut down all those ugly trees! That way you don't have to worry about raking leaves in the fall. Also, trees are homes to birds who crap on all the Queens Crap going up these days.

Time to get a new borough historian that can lead instead of endlessly mind numbing mumbles about cemetaries.

Or the entire borough will resemble one.

Hey.....
if I could get a variance......
I'd love to have a home in the middle of a cemetery.

Beautiful landscaping and quiet neighbors!

It would beat this assemblage
of overpriced brick and concrete shanties.....
the new homes of the living dead !

You think the current Borough Historian is bad.......
does anyone remember the previous one Hank Ludder?

This guy sold his post Civil War era Victorian home
to developers.....then took a quick powder !

The real job of a Burro Historian
is to say....."tsk, tsk, tsk, what a shame, it's all going"......
pucker their lips and plant a kiss
on Hellen Marshal's cheeks (the lower pair)
in return for a meeting room
at Queens Borough Hall.

Oh yes.....and personalized official stationery!

I heard their only doing renovations . I hope this is true it would be a shame to loose this piece of history.

"Renovations".....h-m-m-m.....I hope so.......
but how quickly an alteration permit
turns into a demolition permit.....often overnight!

With construction sites like this one, the Middle Village will be a village in name only.
