Weeding and tweeding

Keep in mind, this is only what you see from the street...

Crappy will bring you photos from inside the gates soon.

What's in bloom here? Looks like weeds are always in season.

Yuck. I can't tell you how many times I thought, "I should just take a quick ride over there and see..." Oh well.

Would be really cool to contrast and compare: Brooklyn Botanical, Bronx Botanical, Sailors Snug Harbor, Central Park... and Queens Botanical Garden.

whoops this sounds familiar - remember?

Grand Concourse, Park Avenue, Eastern Parkway .... and Queens Boulevard.

What is it about this borough that breeds ineptness? and even worse, complacency?

QBG has a long history of inept management!

Tai Chi exercisers are always hogging up this park during much of the morning. It is nice that they are looking to stay fit but they really should have some consideration for others who'd like to enjoy the park too. They have no right to take it over all for themselves. The last time I was there they were completely blocking off both roads, forcing me to have to walk up on the grass in back of some benches.

Just what kind of annual salary is the director paid?
Anybody know?

What you don't mention is the QBG is undergoing an extensive renovation. Lots of construction work being done there.

Looks like a real shit hole.

you wouldn't see this in central park, even if it was being renovated, that's for sure.

Those "Tai Chi" folks give money to QBG.

If I had that kind of money, perhaps,
I could buy my own peaceful spot
maybe even with my name on it!

P.S.......
QBG looked like a shit hole even before the construction began!

The only time that they spruce up
is during their annual "Rose Ball".....
an event designed to strong arm wealthy
contributors by plying them
with food, drink and much cajoling!
