Heir to the Katz litterbox

Back in January, the NY Post reported that Christine Quinn's aide was gunning for Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi's seat:

Is the top aide to City Council Speaker Christine Quinn gunning for the son of disgraced ex-state Comptroller Alan Hevesi? A source says Howard Pollack, Quinn's legislative coordinator, is telling pals he may challenge Queens Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, who reps Forest Hills and Middle Village. "Pollack sees the son as vulnerable because of his dad's scandal," our source said. Andrew won a special election in 2005 to fill a seat vacated by the resignation of Michael Cohen, more than a year before his father admitted defrauding the government. Pollack told us: "Not true. I did think about it initially when Andy first took office, but at this point in my life, no."

However, recently, the Times Ledger's Dee Richards had this to say:

Howard Pollack, Christine Quinn's chief of staff, tells us that he is going to run for City Councilwoman Melinda Katz's seat. Way to go, Howard!

The machine has chosen the heir apparent to the Queen of Queens Crap. Perhaps Mr. Pollack can explain why his current boss was not encouraged to attend any of the Trylon Theater, anti-Tommy Huang or St. Saviour's rallies, yet was crying in public over St. Brigid's. She wants to be mayor of the entire city, no?

Looks like the tweeding will continue.

They're quoting something from Dee Richards? The woman's a photographer who job it is to run from party to party alone snapping photos of certain politicians. She uses that "we" just a little too much in her "column." Does she use the plural to sound like she's traveling in a crowd?

Right on. She doesn't write a column, she lists the people, left to right, from her photo ID list. That's it; nothing more. You think someone is going to give her a scoop?

[Maybe a scoop to clean up their you-know-what.]

The map is outdated. The district borders have shifted in the 2001 rezoning.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!!!

From the desk of Steven Blank, estimable publisher of the Times/Ledger Newspapers (Our motto: "We charge you 50 cents for the same old Crap the other rags give you for free"):

Because Ms Dee Richards, our Lady Eisenstadt, has to traverse many Borough locales photographing some of the planet's most reprehensible and verminous elected officials, judges, commissars, et al., effective with the next issues, her column will be retitled:

"Douching with Dee"

Why are people even discussing this, Pollack has been looking for a seat for the past 15 years. Of course he is running, for what, who knows. But keep your eye on him, he is very sneaky!
