Legislation authored by a Queens Assemblyman that would give city community boards a say about whether substance-abuse treatment centers can move into their neighborhoods is awaiting passage in Albany.
Push for rehab centers bill
Assemblyman Rory Lancman's bill, which would amend the mental-hygiene law, got a boost from Councilman James Gennaro (D-Fresh Meadows), who introduced a resolution urging the state Senate to pass it.
