EDC forgot to call Frank

A copy of the following letter was received by the Queens Gazette.

Seth W. Pinsky, President
NYC Economic Development Corporation
110 William Street
New York, NY 10038

RE: Relocation Of Sambucci Bros. Inc. Salvage

Dear Mr. Pinsky:

I am writing regarding the recent articles and news reports stating that "...EDC has reached a deal with Sambucci Brothers Inc. Salvage to relocate their business within the boundaries of the College Point community". While accepting that the redevelopment requires businesses to be relocated, I want to insure that no community is unfairly targeted without proper public input.

As the elected representative for the 11th Senatorial District, I would greatly appreciate being briefed in advance of any proposals affecting my constituents and/or the rezoning of any properties within my district.

Please contact me as soon as possible so that we may meet to discuss any proposals or offers being made by the NYC Economic Development Corporation.

Sincerely,

Frank Padavan
State Senator
Whitestone

Forget Senator Frank of the cities committee ? That was no accident!

What arrogance and the usual disregard that EDC has for everyone.

In this case for the community of College Point!

I guess that Bloomberg, Shulman, Parkside and the political canasta club of Queens are thrusting their middle fingers skyward and giving us all the old FU while they plan to steamroll over us!

Well, the times they are a changin' you sleazy bunch of brigands!

You won't get away with land theft this easily!

Thank you, Mr. Padavan..Many years ago, you were ahead of your time when you published OUR TEEMING SHORES about the inequities of immigration and illegal entry into the United States. You are among the few pols to see ( and comment) on injustice and avarice on the part of a city agency. And you see it now in EDC and their opportunism trying to implement their 'stealing' of land at Willets Point.
