These open streets are not only putting residents in danger, but firefighters are going to injure themselves moving those fucking things.

these hazardous open streets since it started which is now subjected to a current lawsuit to end them. And also dedicated to the Department Of Transportation Alternatives, Shekar Krishnan and the simping agency captured elected officials who continue to support this 85 million dollar boondoggle.

I'm by no means in favor of these ridiculous planters and open streets, but aren't fire fighters supposed to be able to carry people up and down ladders? Isn't that part of the test that they take/took? Does a planter actually weigh more than a person? (I really don't know.)

That’s 2X 2X 4X long planter weighs, more then a 55 gal fish tank. With planters and large round pots the density is very deceiving.
Planters of Wet dirt, vomit, piss, feces, beer & peat weigh as much (or more) as sand. I don’t eat out, all restaurants are filthy, staffed by filthy kitchen staff and food supply storage.

Yes, those planters are very heavy. They were put there because car totalitarians had a habit of removing more portable barriers.
If you're looking for someone to blame, then blame those reckless car/truck/oversized-SUV owners for continually removing the light barriers, just to avail of the free car storage that they're "entitled to".
Having said that, the city will have to come up with a better solution to keep these freeloaders out and yet let the fire department do their work.
