Governor Kathy Hochul tested positive for COVID-19 Sunday, and the state’s chief executive said in a social media post that she did not show any symptoms of the illness.
Hochul’s diagnosis comes as virus cases spike again across New York City — though thanks to vaccinations, booster shots and antiviral pills, most infected New Yorkers are winding up asymptomatic or with mild cases.
“Today I tested positive for COVID-19. Thankfully, I’m vaccinated and boosted, and I’m asymptomatic. I’ll be isolating and working remotely this week,” Hochul said in a Tweet on May 8.
“A reminder to all New Yorkers: get vaccinated and boosted, get tested, and stay home if you don’t feel well,” she continued.
Two booster shots and this fool is telling people to get them. She will not even question how they failed to protect her from contagion.

One funny aspect of all this, is that prior to the Covid panic, we NEVER said you had a case of something without symptoms. A clinical diagnosis requires symptoms. But that all changed with the Rona, as did so much else. And now you can have no symptoms and record "positive" on a ridiculously inaccurate test, and bing! we've got another case! Send us more money.
Like guidance on masks, which was ALWAYS "masks don't do shit" (in somewhat more medical terms), until they realized they could make everyone mask as a form of compliance, or for otherwise inept politicians to shows they were DOING SOMETHING.
It's been nothing but safety theater from the start.

You are a delusional buffoon. You do realize we have two tests right? You do realize you can test positive and be asymptomatic? That’s what surprised the medical specialists when they realized it was spreading and people had no symptoms. One is the rapid test which is not as accurate. You’re telling me doctors can’t test you for different viruses?
You do realize we have the technology to sequence the virus and keep track of its mutation right? How do you think we have two tests? When you get the HIV virus, science can’t test you for it and other STD’s? Next time you get your physical, and they take blood from you, ask what STD’s they can test for. One will be HIV.

Americans are extremely lucky. If you’re in Russia, the vaccine is one that Putin won’t take or admit he did or not. China has the Sinovac vaccine which their own govt medical officials admit is only 60% efficacious. One even admitted combining it with Western vaccines would be recommended. Studies from around the world like Israel show time and time again, the western vaccines work. Every time news reported adverse reactions they were insignificant.
Getting the virus and the symptoms are very real. A very young friend of mine who is very fit and no medical conditions had the virus and went to Urgent Care and they called 911 because he was in bad shape. He’s recovered but his lungs haven’t recovered. So many people I’ve talked to have stories of friends and family dying or recovered but are not back to normal.
I don’t understand why an effing pandemic becomes political. I remember the AIDS “epidemic” and it became political becaus3 it was seen as a gay disease when it’s a virus that even President Bush Jr focused on sending US dollars to combat the disease in Africa.
