It was a frightening scene after a man began swinging an ax onboard an A train Friday, police said.
According to the NYPD, police received a 911 call of a person acting erratically and swinging the weapon onboard an A train, heading to Rockaway, shortly after 4 p.m.
"It must’ve been a harrowing call for our 911 operator to hear & relay - a report by a straphanger of a man swinging an axe on an A-train. Thankfully with our enhanced deployment, District 23 officers were at the ready, intercepting the moving train & taking the man into custody," NYPD Transit police tweeted Saturday along a photo of the large ax that appeared to be a couple of feet long.
Police responded and canvassed the area before arresting Obadiah Lashley, 27, at Beach 67 St Station. Lashley was apparently still on the A train when he was apprehended.
It is unknown what charges, if any, Lashley faces or if he has an attorney. It is also unclear how many passengers were on the train or if anyone was in immediate danger.
Any data on how many people bought a car after this incident?

Three years ago I was attacked on the A train by a woman who jumped up on a subway seat and then kicked me in the chest in an attempt to knock me down. She was angry because it wasn’t a grab the purse and run done deal.
Two real men stepped in to stop her while a group of idiot makes stood in the back of the car laughing at me. A Spanish woman who saw the entire event screamed at me , she did that to you because you’re racist.
The subway horrors added up including the ones during rush hour on my way to work.
The A train is called the Animal for a reason.
I am so glad I do not live anywhere near that hell anymore.

I'm not going to lose it all, get sued with people off-the-books, un-insured, working sloppy, hungover, on pot, on Facebook phones, zero experience. Its now not IF and accident is gonna happen but WHEN and accident is going to happen.
Get sued, Its not worth it.
Even if with on the books, all the taxes, insurance, $14 a foot copper pipe or 14/3 wire costs, traffic camera fines, parking fines you come home with NOTHING.

I have 2 Silverado crew cabs (Diesel), a 1976 Caddy, A 74 Vette and a Hummer and pay over $2400 a month on secure indoor private parking and storage alone.
How else am I to carry tools, compressors, generators, pipe, HVAC units, furnaces, table saws etc. Call Amazon and ask for all the different pickups & sight delivery's, get the pizza & soda ?
