A teenage girl riding on the back of a motorcycle died two days after the 15-year-old boy operating the Yamaha crashed outside a Queens cemetery, police said Thursday.
Alexandra “Allie” Ariza, of Nyack, Rockland County, was seated behind the boy on a 2021 Yamaha motorcycle when he slammed into the front of a Mazda CX-30 just outside St. John Cemetery on Cooper Ave. near 88th St. in Glendale at 3:13 p.m. Feb. 21, cops said.
Both Alexandra, 16, and the teenage boy were thrown from the motorcycle and found sprawled out on the asphalt.
Medics took the boy to Cohen Children’s Medical Center for a leg injury. Alexandra suffered a head injury and was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where she died two days later.
“Her smile could light up an entire room, and it lit up many!” her family wrote in an online obituary. “Her voice was elegant yet powerful. Though short lived, her life was full of laughter, love and impact! In her 16 years here on Earth, there is no doubt that Allie touched many lives and continued to do so even after leaving this Earth.”

Motorcycles are death machines and should be renamed "suicycles" they should be outlawed in the city of New York!
No helmets, no license, no registration, no regard for vehicle traffic laws, no insurance, no clue,= no sympathy.
the cam footage clearly show the operator of the scooter sailing through a red light.
Tough shit!
Front fork of the motorcycle bent into the engine, the car is totaled. Must have been going over 40 MPG, then add the speed of the car.
This is what you get in the democrats "free for all" city.
This shit is happening because the people doing this know there are literally zero consequences when the cops, DAs and courts are ones in handcuffs.
No impunity what so ever, more law and consequences exists in Mexico & Bangladesh.
In my day the cops took you to jail till your parents came, loads of tickets & fines, to add confiscated the motor bike for NYPD forfeiture auctions.
Unlicensed operator, no motorcycle endorsement, no insurance, no registration on that bike. Who pays the funeral bill and WORSE since the reckless driver lived who pays his medical bills that will easily be over $100,000. Bike VS automobile accidents are the worse.
Bikes belong on a boardwalk, Disneyland, dedicated bike trails etc. If the dam city is going to refuse license, tags & insurance mandatory for bikes sharing roads with cars in the most dense city in the world confiscate and melt all the bikes down.
Thanks to Bidon and the demi'dummy's we are headed to a metal shortage with Russia out of the picture.
Unless your a millionaire say bye buy to e-bikes, e-cars when the lithium stash runs out.
Stupid voters got what they asked for, this average "one lethal incident" a day involving wheels on city streets" is nothing.
Wait till summer, especially at the end of the month when the welfare checks get all the idiots all high on drugs, fired and liquored up
cannnot cross a street anymore in safety anymore they go through lights against traffic and have no conern for everyone.
but no problem
they do not vote so the current crop of winners can make their 'magic' with our city with not the least bit of concern.
@“ regard for vehicle traffic laws, no insurance, no clue,= no sympathy.”
And you were there to witness all of this? You didn’t even look at the video. If you did, you’re probably as blind as a bat anyway.
Typical dumb TrumpTurd.
I’m starting to see unlicensed motorcycles on the streets all over. They look like food deliveries. When will the e-bikes & scooters be licensed?!
