A tough little boy is on the mend after a hit-and-run moped rider slammed into him in a Queens park, the youngster’s dad said Monday.
Jonathan Beauchamps, 4, is “definitely pulling through” after he was struck and critically hurt in the parking lot of the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park boathouse about 5:50 p.m. Sunday, his father, Christopher Beauchamps, told the Daily News.
“He’s doing better now. He’s pulling through. He’s a strong kid,” his dad said. “He doesn’t have any broken bones or anything.”
Jonathan suffered head trauma, and remains in critical but stable condition at Cohen Children’s Medical Center. The cowardly rider fled. No arrests have been made, police said.
Jonathan’s dad said he, his wife, his children and other friends and relatives were hanging out in the park, playing music, when a group of moped and dirt bike riders showed up to show off and do donuts.
“Bikes aren’t even supposed to be in that park. There’s kids. My son was saying it wasn’t even a dirt bike that did it, it was one of the mopeds,” he said. “It could have been worse.”
“If there were more kids, it could’ve happened to any (of them).,” he added.

Dumblasio allowed the jerks in those things to run wild, this is on him
The influx of mopeds, electric scooters, electric bikes, dirt bikes, and atvs on city sidewalks and in parks has gotten to an extreme level. First off I don't see anyone with helmets, and second there's no enforcement of any rules. I was walking from Bayside Marina to Fort Totten two weeks ago and there was a group of teenagers on dirt bikes and quads speeding down the path, narrowly avoiding hitting people.
Then in little bay park, there was a kid on an electric scooter whose head barely cleared the handle bars, weaving in and out of the walking path. Ridiculous.
No mention of the suspect's description NY Daily News?
Talk about burying the lede!
We have to look elsewhere......

The suspect is described as a man with black dreadlocks. He was riding a black and gold-colored dirt bike, according to police.
ROUND UP THE USUAL SUSPECTS!!!
Little kid off leash in a parking lot. He's lucky it wasn't a car. Would there be the same outrage if it were?
Rhetorical question.
Scenario: Local yutes just letting some steam off riding their dirt bikes and ATV’s down the street.
Kate, who on FB his a huuuuge supporter of BLM and a avid NPR listen, is frightened of the fast moving vehicles. Worried that one of these enthusiasts might get hurt she telephones the police and demands they come and advise the kids that they should be careful while riding down a busy roadway. Police respond and the youngins take off. Anfernee crashes his dirt bike while riding helmetless down the sidewalk and injures himself and a baby in a stroller.
He is arrested and brought to the hospital to treat his head wounds. His momma, upset by his injuries, calls up NY1 for an on air interview and asks why they done have to chase him, he wasn’t doin nothing wrong. City council members agree and state the police unfairly target POC and demand an investigation.
Ira Goldsilversteinowitz, personal injury lawyer contacts family and holds a press conference. Photos of Anfernee appear in the media. 6th grade graduation, crawling as a toddler, and him pointing a gun at the camera on Facebook. Well ignore the last one. He didn’t mean that. He was just funnin.
Anyway he sues the city and they settle for $6,000,000. Cops get dragged through the mud, lawyers make an easy $2m.
Everybody who lives in the city is happy. They all feel like justice was served. And Kate can go to sleep at night feeling like she made a difference.
If you value quality of life, take your life outside of NYC. Starve the city of income tax! Let the scooter people pay for everything.
A wild pack of dirt bikes continues to terrorize shoppers at the Atlantic Avenue Stop 'N Shop every Sunday afternoon, as hundreds of them roll into the parking lot and wreak havoc over the entire lot of frightened and terrified shoppers while they stare in helpless disbelief to stop their reign of terror. Dangerous wheelies, stunts and high decibel levels of ear piercing noise that could easily rival Concorde SST service. No matter how many times that the locals have called upon the police, nothing is ever done to stop this assault. There will be marginal action once someone is hit, or worse, killed!
New York is the REAL Gattica, taxpaying fools and loyal 'SHEEPLE!' Get out while you still CAN before its too late!
Don't worry since bail is "racist", the culprit will just be put in jail for a day then let back out. No biggie for the idiots who run ny.
Anyone get caught up in Sunday's "ride" down Woodhaven Blvd.? At least 100 bikes, quads, etc. It happened around 500pm. Running red lights etc. And not a cop in sight. Dear Ms. Katz - WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS???

Could George Soros be behind the failed bail reform ?

Bob Ross calls it "happy accident".

Take out your smartphones, video cameras, and record and send it to the media.
Once they show up, that is only when the police might show up and try to do something about.
If you call the police on your own, do not expect anything to be done. The police, politicians, will pretend nobody complained to them but now they will look into it once the media confronts them.
“Defund the police!”….”there’s so much crime!” Who’s crying now?! They wanted this. Now they’re complaining?
