NY Daily News

Eric Adams declared victory in the city’s Democratic mayoral race Tuesday after holding on to a razor-thin lead in a pivotal ballot update, putting him on track to become just the second Black mayor in Big Apple history after running a centrist campaign focused on fighting crime and appealing to blue-collar voters.

Adams, Brooklyn’s current borough president and a retired NYPD captain, led former sanitation commissioner Kathryn Garcia by just 8,426 ballots — or 1% of the total — after more than 120,000 absentee votes were added to the Board of Elections’ unofficial tally of ranked-choice results.

The Associated Press called the race for Adams after the absentee ballot drop, and the 60-year-old Brooklyn BP took his long-awaited victory lap shortly thereafter.

“The results are clear: an historic, diverse, five-borough coalition led by working-class New Yorkers has led us to victory in the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City,” Adams said in a statement. “Now we must focus on winning in November so that we can deliver on the promise of this great city for those who are struggling, who are underserved, and who are committed to a safe, fair, affordable future for all New Yorkers.”

Looks like a lot of fauxgressive shitlibs are going back to Ohio.

Eric Adams has been useless. Now he's on track to being even more useless in City Hall.

If the GOP had a brain and balls, they would back Sliwa to the hilt.

Many of the same idiots who voted for De Blasio ended up voting for Adams. Their vote for De Blasio back fired big time as their neighborhoods got full of violent crime, too bad for them their new savior works for landlords and will help to gentrify them out

Eric Adams has been Brooklyn's borough president since elected in 2013.

Brooklyn is now WORSE OFF than ever before.

Adams does not speak out against the multiple shootings by black gang members from Brooklyn.

He does not speak out against the crimes committed by black teenagers who beat and rob people for their money and possessions.

He does not speak out against the violent crimes committed by the mentally ill, the violent homeless people and the violent drug dealers and drug attics.

He does not speak out against the young people (usually black and hispanic) who ride their illegal ATVs, mopeds, motorcycles, at high speeds in the streets and put people in danger since they have no regard pedestrians and for the rules of the road.

He does not speak out against the young girls and young women who are turned into sex slaves and speak out against those who run these illegal prostitution rings in Brooklyn.

He does not speak out against the Bail Reform laws that put more dangerous repetitive criminals back onto the streets to commit more crimes again.

If Eric Adams is elected, he will ignore all the serious problems in NYC and if he is questioned, he scream you are a racist and you do not want him as mayor because he is black.

If elected, Adams will be Deblasio 2.0. Ignore Harsh, Cold Reality, and blame everyone else.

NYC is F*CKED AGAIN!!!!!

Sliwa is just another gop huckster. During the various periods when he was fired from his radio show(s) he'd pitch for literally any product or company regardless of reputation while pleading before an alimony judge to reduce his payments.

Just a scammer. When this is over, he'll be right back pitching bullshit on the radio.

I don't like Adams, either, but that's who we'll be calling "Mayor". The fact that he was a republican, albeit briefly, makes me highly suspicious of him.

I hope sliwa could win, however, too many idiots who vote with their feet are out there so unfortunately, the race doesn't look good for him. He really needs to campaign very hard to even get a few votes. Unfortunately the way this city is and how divided it is, the black and Hispanics will not vote for sliwa. But im rooting for him and I will be voting for him.

I'm for Curtis. Hopefully he can begin to fix the mess we are in.

Careful what you wish for, Eric is just as bad or worse than deBosio.

Eric wants to stay on the dole !

Sliwa should beg the Boy Mayor to endorse Adams.
That would seal a Curtis win.

Ater having worked with Eric everything with him is black vs white. If you disagree with him he plays the old racist card when he has no other answer. People be what you wish for

Bastard flip flopper will never speak out against the Bail Reform laws (he was all for last year)because the most dangerous repetitive criminals are black.
Blacks kill the most, their own people, civilians anybody.
Violent repetitive black criminals far outnumber all the Hispanic criminals & gang bangers including the MS-15 put together.
Any corrections officer will tell you this in private off record.

Sliwa will take the Hispanic & Asian vote by a landslide. Do the math Hispanics & Asians own most the business harmed the most by blacks.
In NYC a family of Hispanics or Asians owns a bodega, or some private discount retail on every corner.
They are fed up with blacks spitting, stealing, starting trouble, pushing them around, shooting them in there own homes & businesses.
Then you also have all the Arabic cab drivers out on the streets who now hate blacks even more. Those guys see it all !!
No way will they vote for another Black mayor, do not listen to the news. They will never say this.
Sliwa can win even if every black vote goes to Adams (which it will)
Perhaps somebody here can do some demographics and do the math & true statistics the democrat supervised & gagged media isn't allowed to say ?

Quote "Sliwa should beg the Boy Mayor to endorse Adams.

That would be great.
17 more weeks till November election, that's a lot of people that will be assaulted or killed by the very same bail, police reform and black privilege Adams demanded.
Sliwa will without question destroy this turncoat cop, split tonged racist in a debate.

Sliwa will win, sadly it will take more murders and that will come.
Especially of a murder of a celebrity or a couple kids.
The mayor is putting all available cops in Times Square to protect tourists, our streets are gonna be a war zone that is sure to seat Sliwa
Every bodega, fruit stand, junk store in Flushing says: "democrat no good" "all this criminals no good"
Its just a matter of how many of these people are legal to vote.

"Hispanics will not vote for sliwa"

Huh?
Every Hispanic & Cuban I know is voting Sliwa, they don't want a black democrat mayor who will only kick them to the curb. Every Hispanic I know also has at least one family member who has been a victim of a violent crime, spousal battery or child support delinquency committed by a Black.
They will vote to install a black racist mayor to make things worse for them ?
--I don't think so
