Delusional Adams wants to keep Steve Banks

Let's see the results of Steve Banks' DHS leadership. Taken outside the "Cooper Rapid Rehousing Center" in Glendale. Last year, DHS told us, "The shelter will serve 200 single men experiencing homelessness who are currently employed or actively seeking employment."

Do these guys look employable?
Great job, Steve!

Meanwhile, Patch is busy looking for "experts" to call Douglaston residents "NIMBY" for not wanting a shelter in their neighborhood. Gee, I can't imagine why they'd be opposed.

This article of the pictures with the homeless men hanging out in the street shows that Eric Adams only cares about their needs and will fight to have more homeless shelters in a neighborhood near you.

Looking forward to being sexual harassed, insulted, and threatened everyday if I don't give them the spare change they are asking for.

Eric Adams only speaks up when black men are publicly arrested or beaten by the police.

He doesn't care if they are the ones who commit most of the violent crimes and shootings in this city.

More people should call him out on this.

"More people should call him out on this"
Did it matter what the approval of Brezhnev or Krushev was?
It’s amazing that left leaning Americans bias is so damn strong that they practically refuse to see the bias/hypocrisy.

Adams is not a good choice for Mayor of NYC !

It’s so sad douglaston residents didn’t get to voice there opinions and collaborate with the city to offer a decent shelter for women. Lessons learned bayside will benefit and probably get to participate when they get the men’s shelter at the Adria or anchor hotel soon.

Why would anyone crazily believe a racist, derelict, intensely incompetent, mouthy ex-cop like Eric Adams? He is so crooked that he can eat soup with a corkscrew!

But, not to worry, QUEENS County slaves and indentured servants——Curtis Sliwa, whom I am neither friend nor foe, will soon wipe the floor with that part-time Brooklyn street busker (and, full-time racist). It's the only hope for policy enforcement with consequences to prevail, followed by the return of ALL of the (mostly) White New York City residents, all of whom bolted, EN MASS, for their second country homes the minute that New York shuttered on Monday, March 16, 2020, and not a single one has returned to city life, and for good cause and reason.

To last Anonymous: "Adams is not a good choice for Mayor of NYC!"

He's not even a good choice to be considered part of the same SPECIES as I!

This asshole from the legal aid society doesn't get that Douglaston is a transit desert and by placing homeless folks in Douglaston, they are making it harder for them to get back on their feet. Go put them in Manhattan where you have candidates who ran for city council that would welcome homeless folks there.

Ah, NYC, I remember it well!

Close down the Department of Homeless Services and create the Department of Housing Every One- with the budget of DHS - they could build decent housing. And I will be voting for Curtis Sliwa.
Steven Banks has no concern for the thousands of homeless elderly and disabled who will be sleeping on a sidewalk or subway station by you tonight.

We ignore the biggest elephant in to the room, Inmates read at best a 6th grade level and homeless people are not very literate either

You are never going to employ these people until we have a mass immersion in the English language as part of their rehabilitation into society.

We need to give criminals the maximum sentence and let prisoners determine how long they want to stay in jail. When you can read, write and speak English, and then explain in detail your arrest warrant in front of a parole board or judge, you could be granted parole.

The only thing good about DHS is that Amanda Nasner works for them and she's cute.
