The city budget deal struck Wednesday includes $115 million in added spending by the new city agency that grew out of first lady Chirlane McCray’s controversial, $1.25 billion mental-health initiative.
The boost gives the Office of Community Mental Health — which Mayor Bill de Blasio created last month to make permanent and also rebrand the former ThriveNYC program — a total of nearly $320 million in taxpayer money under the spending plan for fiscal 2022.
The additional allocation of taxpayer money includes $96 million for a citywide expansion of the multi-agency Behavioral Health Emergency Assistance Response Division — known as “B-HEARD” — which dispatches teams of EMTs and social workers in response to 911 calls about non-violent, emotionally disturbed people.
The program, which was launched in parts of Harlem earlier this year, is intended to reduce the number of confrontations between cops and mentally ill people, although B-Heard teams can still summon the NYPD if situations spiral out of control.

How is that working out for all NYers?
Just look at all the crime committed by the mentally ill, violent people, and homeless people in this city by watching and reading the news reports, and local newspapers.
Deblasio has money to waste on failing programs that causes more harm than good.
But he doesn't have money to spend on hiring more police officers, more safer public transportation, and have mental health clinics in every borough to help people in need.
NYC has gone into the deepest pits of hell. And it will stay there for a long time to come. No thanks to Useless politicians who are delusional and ignore harsh reality.
And I bet that if Debasio run again, he will win, Yes NYC is that stupid.
It good having a CO-Mayor so much more good work is getting done in the City!

Deblasio IGNORES the Violent Reality and said Crime is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
I guess he forgot all the gang shootings in the Bronx and Brooklyn. He forgot about people being shoved onto the subway tracks by the violent mentally ill homeless people his sh*tty wife was given 1.2 billion dollars to deal with.
He forgot about that 10 year old boy being shot to death in Far Rockaway, Queens by a impatient deranged individual who lived in an house filled with illegal guns.
He has forgotten about the crimes being committed against Asian people throughout the city.
He never addresses the people who have been hit and run over by people who recklessly ride their bicycles, mopeds, and electric scooters and ignore the Stop Signs, Red lights, and the Rules of the Road. He never mentions when innocent pedestrians are struck by electric mopeds and are killed like that actress Lisa Banes. (The person who killed her has not been caught and arrested yet.)
He also cannot deal with all the shootings, stabbings, fights, and hate crimes many people deal with every week in NYC.
He only has time to promote his bike lanes, march in parades, and ignore all the problems NYC is going through.
Defunding the police is NOT going to make NYC better. It is going to make it WORSE!!!
Deblasio and McCray are the greatest at being the WORSE political hacks for NYC!!!
