Why not blasted live?
Because they have no interest in having the public engaged. We are heading in the direction of Latin 'Republics' with a small smug self-centered wealthy elite and a vast sea of happy clueless interested in only eating, sports, and well you know.
The last step is to get rid of the Heroic Archetype of our past and to do everything to trivialize and malign anything associated with that include their descendants.
