Hi again,
If the MTA is redesigning the Queens Bus Network and including a limited stop Astoria-Downtown Brooklyn route (QT1), why the hell are we moving forward with the BQX (other than tweeding)? Non-brainwashed minds want to know.
Is the QT1 reserved for poor people?

I noticed this too. The QT1 also serves Hallet Point which is both projects and bougie where the BQX does not. I think everyone rich and poor would take the bus to save the walk.
Hate to admit it but AOC has rightly attacked the GOV and the MTA on this issue and I agree with her !
Because the MTA says we need it, we just don't know we do. They (THE MTA) know us better than we know ourselves....
Hipsters don't want to be rubbing shoulders with ordinary New Yorkers who don't dress in the latest fashions and like things unironically. They think voting for AOC and Caban is enough, and they don't have to care about poor people the rest of the time.
We need the BQX because the mayor promises his cronies billions for building it and billions more in increased real estate value from the hipsters who'd never ride a bus if their life depended on it but think a trolley is quaint.
With the new RFID fare payment system, the SBS bus will be as fast as any rail
