Glendale RV extravaganza, part 3

Along Woodhaven Blvd just outside Home Depot in Glendale sits a makeshift trailer park.
One of the vehicles is for sale. Now if that happens, where will the inhabitants live? And here we thought this was going to become a school.
Hey, why not extend out into traffic? Anything goes!

Well... vehicles are not allowed to be parked and labelled for sale. DOT Traffic Rule.

In Whitestone, the City has allowed a resident to build a fence out onto the street, partly blocking the thoroughfare. Residents and community groups have complained to about it to every agency they can think of, NYPD, DOT, Sanitation and on and on, with not results. So I guess these car-a-vans could rightly block the intersection if it's to their advantage. What happened to the law in NYC?

Gotta wonder if these are being used for Airbnb.

As i mentioned in part two, that trailer in the front according to the stickers, is owned by a Bosnian.

This has devolved into a weird development. If this was going in Park Slope or Long Island City, or even Ridgewood, these campers would have been in the impound lot in the Bronx.

Another corrupt NYPD precinct, cops paid off to look the other way. Welcome to Queens!

The media needs to keep pressure on this story otherwise this part of Queens will look like other parts of the country.

Double wide blues
I got the blues, double wide
V-neck t-shirt, with a mustard stain
Rollin' up a hose, outside in the rain
He's been my neighbor since seventy-nine
'Course he was in prison most of that time
Ever since then he just aint been right
his old lady works days and they fight most nights
Laid off and blown off, pissed off on booze
Double wide blues
Metallica song blastin' out from two trailers down
Its them cut of t-shirt numb chuck kids comin' around
Tonight they'll get drunk, try to get laid
End up in a fight out behind the arcade
You know one of them little shits broke my window last spring
I told his momma she didn't do anything
She works two jobs, he runs loose
Double wide blues
Double wide blues
I got the blues, double wide
My buddy Jimmy, now his trailers cool
He got him a deck with one of them blue plastic pools
Workin construction, he builds speck homes
His old lady left him, now he's down there alone
My friend Anita, she loves him, but he don't know
He's so busy chasin' my neighbor's wife, Flo
Soap opera heaven without all the clues
Double wide blues
Double wide blues
I got the blues, double wide
Wild Bill the manager he keeps to himself
The war took his smile like them pills took his health
Too old to run with the Klan anymore
US Flag hangin' outside his door
I sit here watchin' all this nothin' go on
I don't get out much now since momma's been gone
Sometimes its nice, havin' nothin' to lose
Double wide blues
Double wide blues
I got the blues, double wide
Take me home boys
I think I'm drunk

What happened to the law in NYC?

The only law that matters in NYC is the Democratic Machine Law. Its been that way since Boss Tweed.

I hate to admit it, but payoffs are the only logical reason this is allowed to exist. Everywhere else NYPD is happy to tow you away and make you pay through the nose to get your vehicle back at the impound. Why this isn't happening here we can only guess.

One of these was parked on a residential street in Forest Hills for years. Last year it blew up. Since this is not a campground or trailer park I wonder who is responsible for inspecting the gas stoves, electric lines etc.?

Check the plates, they could be gypsies or Irish Travelers. Not kidding here, if they are from the south and the midwest

I don't think there is a legal reason that can allow for them to be towed... there is no parking restrictions for that area. I say put metered parking... at this point I'd take that as a win for the community over what's happening now but I don't think the majority would. Same would need to happen by the cemetery along atlas mall.

Irish Travelers without a doubt. Be sure to warn elderly local homeowners. They are the most likely to be targeted.

I don't think there is a legal reason that can allow for them to be towed

But they can be ticketed if their tires have been chalked by the NYPD and if they haven't been moved for X number of days - don't recall if it's 5 or 7 days. Can Crappy clarify?

Irish traveler gypsy's and home improvement scammers go back home next month.
They will be back after Easter. These guys are from Sarasota, Pa and W Virginia and are the best bullshitters currently in town

"Check the plates"

They ARE in fact Irish traveler gypsies, some guy in Brooklyn registers them under some faux business called Brian's vans, Brains remote recording studios or something.
They are creating an organized network to operate here.
The RV are bought at auctions, usually from Wrangler Hill in Bear Delaware and driven up with temp plates using the insurance cards from the van business in Brooklyn. (I knew the owner Nick R.I.P from Wrangler Hill)

"NYPD precinct, cops paid"
--they likely have layoff orders from all the top brass Paddys

Cops wont do shit, most of them have an Irish family member that came to America to work and did the came dam thing. Just like the shit and corruption that goes on with illegal imported Irish summer help in Montauk during summer. Live 6, 7 10 to a tin shed like chickens.

This video is a year old too, there is a new depression happening. But since nothing but towers are being built, maybe no one will notice all the way up there. And with all those amenities and apps to get them things, maybe they won't leave the apt to notice.

I don't think these guys are homeless though, since they are selling one of their trailers and they are constructing "studios", it's a commercial venture. I wouldn't be surprised if they were using it for airbnb or some other platform.

The main problem is that the city would not allow a campground where these vehicles can park.

If these folks are in the boonies, where no one lives, tough cookies to the naysayers.

As it is,there are a few streets with no parking regulations, where anything goes. Just look at the industrial areas to see. Would not be surprised, out of city public workers use these RV as a crash pad.

Ass vans....

"they are constructing "studios"
These guys are Irish traveler gypsy's who are expert bullshitters.
New Yorker's are stupid and easily fooled. I wonder how many people in Middle Village even know what Romanichals, traveler gypsy's, tinkers, itinerants, knackers even are or how to spot them.
This is because having them actually living on the streets here is new thing. These GYPSYS come here to work seasonal home improvements and live in those cans. "Studios" is bullshit because you couldn't fit a drum-set let alone microphone booms stands, mixers & studio gear running off a generator.
They fix up the insides of those RVs with materials left over from jobs (usually scams), sell them, go back home, migrate back up and restart the whole process again in Spring.

People need to stop being so gullible & bullshitted or 10X more may come for "easy pickings" next year !!
Your dealing with Irish traveler gypsy's, get it right !!!

BTW: They are also legal in Walmart parking lots

>how to spot them.

So how do you spot them?

So how do you spot them?

A brief explanation of what or who Irish Travellers are:
They are a large social and ethnic minority who live a nomadic lifestyle. They appear to be descended from Irish travelling Famine (1840s) and possibly much further back. During spring and summer they generally migrate north to work and live out of live in motor homes, vans, contractor trucks with caps an curtains during summer at halting sites. NOTE Usually always with windows covered or sealed up, roof vents, curtains, cooking & heating gas tanks. Always note the accent and politeness if you speak to them They ar every polite and great story tellers “the gift” as they call it.
The crimes linked to the men are usually always well out of the area they set up camp at stay, they going on trips out to Long island to scam (usually) elderly people with shoddy handywork, Chimney sweeps, driveway sealing. The old "we have left over material from another job" (No, I don't have the specifics look them up yourself).
The woman and children at home are no better BTW. The majority of the crime that I know of that is committed locally involves the women and children revolves around skipping out on restaurant bills and home robbery. Anyone in this area can spot a group of Travelers a mile away. They pull it off by creating mass confusion. I remember sitting at a restaurant when about 10 of them managed to run circles around the waiters, creating such confusion that the waiters couldn't get a handle on things until they had all managed to leave and skip out on the huge bill.
If you live On Long Island or rural areas they will ring your doorbell with some bullshit story to keep you busy, ask for water for the children wil a 2nd group goes around back to get into your house and hit the bedrooms for jewelry.

That enough time on this, I can go on forever with the scams you New Yorkers better wise up fast !!
