From the Daily News:
Two women were killed in a fast-moving blaze that erupted inside a Queens home amid a deluge of rain Monday morning, officials said.
More than a hundred firefighters tackled the inferno as flames tore through the two-story home on the corner of Wheatley St. and Brunswick Ave. in Far Rockaway around 4 a.m., according to a FDNY spokesman.
The two victims — both unidentified — were pulled from the burning home and rushed to St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where police said they died.

No surprise. Nyc gets what it deserves!
Unfortunately collateral damage...,acceptable with our crooked DOB!
More to follow.
These apartments are ALL OVER Queens and no one seems to care, even with loss of life. Disgusting
Too bad they can't catch these things BEFORE there is a disaster.
What the hell type of fire could get so out of control in the middle of a day long, flood-level rainstorm? What caused it?
When there is no enforcement of housing laws this is when people run rampant and try to do whatever they can. There are properties in my neighborhood that have partial vacates on it for the same exact reason and even with us emailing beyond customer support at the buildings Department, nothing gets done. It’s ridiculous that there are so many rules that New York creates to try to charge people money to fill the cities pocket but they don’t enforce when there is no enforcement of housing laws this is when people run rampant and try to do whatever they can. Again, just counting the days until I can leave here for good because I don’t ever want to live somewhere like New York City ever again in my entire life. We got rats running around here because of all the construction, cockroaches and my physical health and mental well-being just can’t take it anymore
Just a matter of time.
