Timing seems a bit suspect...
if you have ANY damage beyond a sidewalk and landscaping, hire a LAWYER and an ENGINEER to dictate to DDC what is being done on YOUR terms. this letter is an admission there were excavation-related damages, sidewalks are cheap but houses ain't!!!
and don't sign anything unless your experts tell you!!

Structural's advice is solid, pun intended. I feel bad for the people living on that street, and my car, as I had to drive down it pretty much every evening for the last two years!
On an unrelated note, not the greatest fan of BDB, but sad to see the proliferation of NicoleM. Yard signs in the area....
