Telling it like it is

Ray Rogers condemns NYC's rezoning policies as REBNY policies that benefit fat cat developers like Rob and Jerry Speyer (Tishman Speyer), Jed Walentas (Two Trees Management), Gary Barnett (Extell Development Company) and Daniel Brodsky (The Brodsky Organization). Rogers says REBNY is run by "bullies and racketeers" while speaking at Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer's rezoning hearing in East Harlem (7-13-17).

Bravo. That is a shitlist of predator developers that should be chased out of the city with pitchforks and torches.

If anyone is interested...

We have to cover what is going on in the other boroughs - Queens is regressing as the rest of the city is inching forward. The cornerstone of a big block of city council voting for this garbage is built around the Queens delegation which is one of the reasons that preservationists refused, for the most part, to support Queens issues.

Queens residents need to start to show respect for their communities - one of the things they need to do is to get Queens Civic Congress more engaged, the other is to stop looking at pictures of days gone by, waxing nostalgic, then when the old lady dies stabbing their community (that they claim they love so much) by selling out and letting shit boxes in.

There are some real cultural issues in Queens that have to be addressed, and blaming the mayor or simply saying you can do nothing is inexcusable and juvenile. We need to start to think for ourselves and stop letting Big Brother set our value system.

Civics is not a spectator sport... and yes, the votes of our council delegation in Queens is the cornerstone on the damage throughout the city with development. Shame to us.
