I can't wait to see the propaganda video that results from this one!

"white. lives. matter. white. lives. matter." (to Mayor Big Slow's minions, this is sar-ca-sm)
The alpha dope of park slope's days are numbered, people. Go get them.
is that the marriot you say? Has anyone ever heard of their junior chain to cater to hipshits, The Moxy? If you haven't heard, they are developing a flophouse/frathouse style luxury hotel by Webster Hall that used to be a rent-stabilized building. It was made possible by a scumbag developer who donated to De Faustio's campaign for one new york to get the permit to build it.
People get use to this! The mayor before he is booted out of office next year will put a shelter in every hotel in every community. He does not care about communities all he cares about is these individuals are in hotels but not permanent housing. As he promised. The solutions will be on the next mayor and his people because this guy has no solutions. He can say he gave them a place to sleep but their hopes are slowly fading when they see he did nothing about affordable housing. So Mr Mayor....I say all lives matter! After all we all are people of color....Fight this East Elmhurst...do not let him intimidate you guys!
Last time I checked my box of crayolas, when I was 7, white was definitely in there.
Maybe #all lives matter should be the name of this current movement against the exploitation and warehousing of the destitute. And of the middle class and working poor, because there is a concerted effort from both political parties and the oligarchy pulling their strings, to keep us down.
East elmhurst already has a few homeless motels/hotels for years. At the old days in and the skyway motel, then the clarion. Now there are a few more, but Courtyard by Marriott? Reminds me when the ritzy Sofitel hotel in the city rented out to the city, more lost souls in ... why wont the city find a better alternative for the desperate families? A hotel is better than a shelter for families with children, no question about it.
It is very easy to argue against this policy without resorting to some weird racial ___livesmatter bullshit. Doing so makes it very easy for some media outlets to portray anyone against shelters as a racist windbag. Don't give them fodder for their stupid propaganda films when you have absolutely no need to.
The facts are more than enough: we're blowing tons of taxpayer money to warehouse people without helping them, and at least 1/4th of them are not from NYC. Warehousing people in hotels does not help them get jobs, it doesn't create long term affordable housing for them, etc. In fact, it only drives rents further up by creating an artificial 'housing crisis'.
What we really need to do is start a movement to amend the NYS constitutional provision for 'right to shelter'. New York is, so far as I know, one of the only states in the country with this ridiculous law. Without it, the mayor would not have a leg to stand on and no one from PA, WV, KY, etc could buy a bus ticket to the big city, cry poverty, and get a free stay.
Last time I checked my son's crayons...there was white, black, brown, red and yellow crayons...we ARE people of color and ALL LIVES MATTER! All these homeless families/people want a stable living environment which they had once. The mentally ill need the proper help and so are those who suffer from addiction. Hotels are not the solution to this ever increasing problem. States must take of their own and stop sending up to NY. NY needs to be more proactive to this and help these people out before they begin the homeless shuffle..
At this rate, it won't be too much longer before there will be too many non-white, non homeowner people visibly complaining about the shelters in the media for the administration to play the racism / classicism card.
only one way to stop De Blasio little scheme of bringing in poor people from down south so that they will vote for the Democraps, vote Trump and stop De Blasio's overlord, and remember always always vote against the progressives, and don't believe this crap about hotels being a compassionate option(specially considering the deplorable conditions in those places, plus the murders that have taken place and the fact that they allow sex offenders) this system encourages people to have children they can't afford, guess where most of those kids end up? at Rikers

Jimmy Van Bramer is planning on running for mayor that is the word on the streets - so look for more homeless shelters - ------ Have you seen his latest newsletter - oversized, over colored, and at least 30 pictures of him - every photo there is Jimmy. Millions here, millions there, and the community services still suck.
(ok sorry, poor choice of words)
Understand he sends different newsletters to Woodside and Hunters Pt, too!

This is what full blown government tyranny and anarchy look like!
Hey, Wilhelm: Germany's 'Third Reich' misses you.
MEN (REAL MEN, MIND YOU) HAVE BEEN HANGED FOR LESS!
Amending the "Right to Shelter" provision is a game changing step.

But you need the State Assembly, The State Senate, AND the Governor.
Realize that you are talking about FIFTY THOUSAND democratic voters.
Why would you get rid of such a treasure as a democrat official?
Those are the people that will easily cancel the Maspeth "outrage" vote...
>Have you noticed everyone in a syrian family that comes here has a full beard?
Where are you seeing Syrian refugee families in Queens?
Are you confusing them with the "under-13 years old child" migrants being taken in by England who are over 6 feet and have full beards?

In answer to your first post where you ask if we've noticed that all of the Syrian refugees who come here have beards,(sarc)...
Even the women and children?
Could it be that they hate to shave?
Could they be trying to masquerade themselves as Hassidim?
