Coyotes living at Astoria Mountain
From
PIX11:
A group of coyotes was spotted lurking around a temporary employee parking lot set up because of construction at LaGuardia Airport Thursday.
A PIX11 reporter spotted the animals in the roadway of the parking lot near 45th Street and Berrian Boulevard in Astoria.
Employees dodge the critters every night.
“As you’re coming through they’re waiting for you to say good night,” said one airport employee.
The Port Authority built the parking lot in 2015 atop Ingraham’s Mountain, a man-made “mountain” built excavated materials from construction of the third tube of the Lincoln Tunnel, according to documents obtained by PIX11 News. It’s situated about 0.2 miles west of the airport and bounded by the Rikers Island Bridge.

They should be rescued and relocated before the locals kill and eat them! Poor animals! What a disgusting place to be trapped in!
If their homes weren't be chopped down so much, they wouldn't be out here.
True enough, they were likely living up there before the lot was put in.
Now would Loria and the crew, now that the mansion is hidden, leave a door open with some dog food just inside?
Those coyotes are just on the board of ACME LLC, they have arranged many meetings with councilman don costa to get some zoning arranged.
" Home....home on the range...where the deer and the antelope play".
I always said that Queens was the Wild West for deveopers to have their way with it.
I hope one wanders into borough hall and shits in Katz's office...cause her period to be late!
"They should be rescued"
They come across the Hell's gate bridge, I seen them running up there hooting and barking in packs as far back at 1992 wile "exploring" with friends. On the Also running on Throggs neck late at night.
I also have seen how dangerous these things are after witnessing a pack of 6 or raid a backyard party and drag a 50 pound live pet pig back over a 6 foot fence in seconds. You could hear the pet squealing & screaming for minutes as it was dragged off still alive into the distance. Do you want that type of death for your pet or child ?
Despite what the animal lovers say these NASTY intelligent predators are getting to high in numbers and WILL size up and take a small pet, person or child if hungry enough. They are worse then wild boars because they are smarter and faster.
I'm fine with killing them all!! Feed them to the freeloader's coming to NYC for free stuff.
Coyotes are DANGEROUS to pets and small kids. They should not be allowed to proliferate in NYC. Any community with coyotes out west is known to be devoid of outdoor cats and dogs. Pets in fenced-in yards have also been killed by coyotes, to the owners' grief. Even pets on leash have been attacked. They are also carriers of fleas, ticks, and canine diseases. These are not something we need around here.
There was one idiot, back in the day, that proposed introducing wolves into the Central Park ecosystem.
Let's hope he's enjoying his stay in Bellevue.

Sounds like part of a description of low-class slob third world immigrants and low-class ghetto folks.
They are more detrimental to Queens than coyotes. At least coyotes don't eat and shit in the same place.
I live a block away from the lot I see them quiet often. Last week I saw one go into someone's yard a carry a huge bag of garbage. I contemplated running it over but decided against it. Someone should do something though they aren't exactly scared of humans.
You freaks make Astoria a mountian but you keep calling Flushing River a Creek? What developer you shilling for?
