Goodwill will stop the beeping noise
From PIX11:
Residents in Astoria say they haven’t been able to sleep because of noisy trucks rattling through their neighborhood and loudly beeping as they back up, as early as 4:30 a.m.
A viewer contacted PIX11 News for help. Berty Samovici recorded video of the disruptive daily noise. He said trucks owned by Goodwill are constantly backing up, evening on the weekends and early in the morning.
PIX11 News reached out to the CEO of Goodwill, who promised to fix the problem.
“We are going to stop the noise,” she said.

That's all it took ? Nice work Monica..
how are they going to stop the beeping? And what about the safety of the workers? What if someone gets splattered because of a truck backing up in the garage or lot?
This guy sounds like a big crybaby. And a fool too. It does give PIX an excuse to showcase their bombshell reporters though. This story and complaint is a joke.
They spent 90 more seconds on this story than they did on the recent arrests of higher echelon police officers and a predator developer involved in Mayor Big Slow's 501 c 4 donor scandal.
We gotta beep thats what they made horns for.
A developer needs to buy these warehouses and build condos so we don't have this problem anymore.

I certainly do not see a law broken here or anything illegal say like illegally parked cars sidewalks/streets by auto places or illegal truck driving on residential streets or illegal overnight parking of tractor trailers or the illegal activities of our elected officials. That is what they should be doing stories on, the horrible quality of life issues where there is either a lack of enforcement or none at all.
If you are going to live near any type of business that uses trucks, then you should know there will be some kind of noise. It is like living above a bar or club.
It's about being a good neighbor !
I don't get how they are going to stop the beeping noise? The beeping noise is for safety when trucks back up if they disable the beeper than it will be a safety issue and a violation of NYC laws.
They'll have them deliver during the day so the beeping doesn't wake people up.
Wouldn't stopping the beeping be against the law? These laws are written in DC or Albany as one size fits all, and don't take big city life into consideration.
