Since I don't speak Italian, can someone tell me if the name "Vallone" translates into English as "developer", "lobbyist", or "Stinky"?

Those Vallones are poison. The world has moved on and they are stuck somewhere back in the 60s. The 1560s.
a stupid out dated soda pop advertisement is a landmark but buildings with historic significance and are still utilized are deemed unworthy and expendable.
The spanish towers and fairway apartments denials cannot be more obvious. This will make it convenient for predatory developers to "revitalize" the buildings and start the odious process to price out and disenfranchise tenants from their homes.
Easy to see now that a bunch of hotels are being hastily built on Queens Blvd. It won't only be for dummies looking for lodging in the world's borough.

Yes, it has nothing to do with hygiene (or lack thereof). Fortunately, I've never been close enough to Paulie to make any comments about that.
Well they do make a mess out of community and their odious swaggering manners makes some people want to take a shower after they are in a room with icky Vallone supporters.
The Pepsi Cola sign was originall erected because actress Joan Crawford wanted to stick it in the eye of a snooty east side Manhattan co-op who gave her trouble. She was then married to the CEO of Pepsi Cola. I think the issue was the co-op board did not approve of her being an actress...something like that. Do not mess with Ms. Crawford..."Mommy Dearest"!
