New York is still No. 1 when it comes to the tax burden it places on residents, a study out Wednesday revealed.
The conservative Tax Foundation, in its annual report, found that New York once again had the highest tax burden of any state in the nation, with 12.7% of income going to support state and local taxes.
New York has topped the Foundation’s list every year since 2005. The latest report comes despite Gov. Cuomo’s repeated claims to have revived the state’s economic climate.

The report does not matter. For sure, Cuomo and all Albany polls will be re-elected, without any meaningful challenges. Nothing will change without term limits.

I hear from trusted sources that congress is discussing implementing a 'Resurrection' tax for those people that magically come back from the dead. LOL
Cuomo gives tremendous tax deals for upstart companies or new to NY but when they run out the company either negotiates for a new better deal or they threaten to move out and get a deal to stay (GE in Conn got a sweet deal from Boston) this is the way of business now. Also with computers its easy to pick up and move. NO big company infrastructure to move anymore and you can find qualified workers anywhere in the US India or China to do the job.

My one year old fridge (made in Mexico) is making all kind of rattles and the door seals are already falling apart. To think these people are making replacement parts and engines for 1/3 the fleet of commercial aviation is frighting.
