The Long Island Rail Road promised to remove graffiti from the walls of its historic Forest Hills station after residents’ pleas, officials said.
Locals said numerous markings have covered the sidewalk walls under the 71st Avenue overpass since last spring, defacing the Station Square area which was designed more than a century ago by renowned architects Grosvenor Atterbury and Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr.
There is also graffiti spray-painted under the Ascan Avenue overpass, locals said.

Hell, there goes 30 years and a quarter of a billion dollars.
How about doing something to that brick roadway over there. Is the city or the gardens responsible??
The graffiti under the overpass is the city's problem. Considering the fact that the 112 is too busy anthe the Citywide graffiti task force unit has about 5 cops left.........get used to the mes. The mayor and PC don't care.
Funny how this only started being a problem again shortly after a new Mayor took office...
It started when concert goers invaded FH again.
