Very strange. The exact same thing happened last year right across the street by Banters. Calls to 311 had the pile of asphalt removed a few days later.
I hope they don't clean it up, it should remain there as a symbol for the prevalent lazy attitudes of those in elected office concerning the security and well-being of the citizenry of Queens.
If this happens in a well to do area Forest Hill, one can imagine all the bullshit that happens in a place like Jamaica, where nobody cares and give a shit, the elected officials are asshole and the city agencies are just plain lazy and are not held accountable.
And yet is is so expensive to live in this city, WHY. At least in places like San Francisco and Boston, those cities are nice and have a better quality of life.
"But you want to leave it there to make a point. Reconsider that."
Not to make a point, but I think it's a great apt monument to the malaise that passes for civic duty of the electeds and the utter negligence of the pricks who dropped and left it there, I assume some piece of shit contractor's truck.
It's like a steaming black turd version of the civic virtue statue. Call it the asphalt rock of civic vice or civic failure. (for Itarino, wherever you are)
it'll stay there until some illegal decides to throw themselves over it and then sue the city for millions of dollars. they'll win and pop out more anchor babies to destroy the city.

And this is in a nice, safe neighborhood too.
Perhaps related to the big dig going on along Queens Blvd.

This is inconvenient and potentially dangerous. But you want to leave it there to make a point. Reconsider that.
DOT is responsible for making street parking accessible. They should clean it up. Will call 311 today.
