From DNA Info:
Signs put up in the restroom cubicles of the Queens Botanical Garden take the prize for stating the obvious: "Toilet water is not safe for drinking."
The messages hang over toilet bowls full of water that is often colored blue.
Because it's not potable and has not been treated by facilities operated by the city's Department of Environmental Protection, the garden said it was required to install the signs.

The signs on cross island pkw say Don't Eat the Clams and yet I see 80 year old women at low tide pulling them out
We always used the "piss clams" for chum or fish bait.
A very telling sign of the quality of the clientele or the people running the place? Or both?
Susan Lacerte must be on drugs or facing a lawsuit. Even third worlders know...never drink blue water.
I thought that toilet water was for applying after bathing so as one might smell nice and sweet for, whatever.
LOL! Channel #5 toilet water, for those who cannot afford the expensive parfumerie a la Franciase.
DNA Info seems to be turning into an online tabloid as of late w stupid stories and bad click bait (eg that story about nyc neighborhoods and sex complaints). Sad cause they were a good source for local news over the past few years.
So, people are that stupid these days. Something like this should not exist, yet here we are.
The majority of local news media is tabloid fodder, with the occasional legit story to make sites like this still credible, like when they covered the Blaz's oppression of protesters at rockaway, and why Juan Gonzalez still works at the Daily News, and we all know that paper resembles something like Screw magazine now.
Duh.....Why is this sign in English??????
mmm, me wanna have a taste..urk
But Is it okay to bathe in?
What if I boil it first?
Maybe somebody might mistake it for a punch bowl full of Gatorade. LOL!
Are they implying that other facility's toilet water IS ok for drinking?
Keep your dogs out!
