Removing all traces of the past

From Curbed:

The diminutive single-family home that used to stand at 31-23 Newtown Avenue is no more. The seemingly abandoned house, which looked even more out of place in recent years after a glassy office tower was erected next door, has been demolished to make way for a seven-story mixed-use building, We Heart Astoria was first to report.

That used to be the Steinway's summer house.

Pisstilli again.

All the local politicians moved next door because Mystery 'man' Mike Gianaris had to move his office in there when his district was changed.

We Heart Astoria needs to stop being a shill for the restaurant crowd and the developers and start getting into supporting the community.

They new people can be a big addition moving Astoria forward instead of clueless tools for the pols and their donors.

Does it really matter if the rest of the block already looks like shit? Who wants to be a hold out in a so called historic ....LOL....house?
