with the irreverence and irrelevance shown in these comments,and absolutely no effort from our elected officials to make this a national holiday(but makes plenty effort to exploit it to drum up blind patriotism and loyalties),we already forgot.
9/11/2001 is a date that is the polar opposite of our other day of remembrance-7/4/1776.That day marked our independence as a nation and the birth of our constitution.9/11 is the day we lost our freedom for the illusions of security and gave birth to the Patriot Act.
going to work today was unnerving,especially watching everyone distracted with their smartphones making them easy prey for another attack.And now were going back to Iraq to hunt a false muslim mafia that is no specific(Obama's words)threat to us.
we all know how we got here,but we keep forgetting and are not willing to learn shit.
the video was great,can't go wrong with a bagpipe version,the loudest shrillest musical instrument.designed to wake up the dead and the indifferent.
