From the Daily News:
Bedbugs were discovered on at least three subway trains on the N line this week, authorities said.
Two trains were taken out of service Sunday after the unwanted riders were found onboard some cars, officials said. And on Tuesday, a third N train was also sent to the Coney Island yard in Brooklyn for fumigation. Some of the bugs were found in seat cushions in train cabs, which are used by conductors and motormen, sources said.
“When we found them, we exterminated them,” said Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesman Adam Lisberg.

Bedbugs are just another member of the new diverse vibrant community.
I wonder how often they ignore rider complaints until the bed bugs get into the train cabs.
even the homeless don't have bedbugs in their filthy clothes, their mohair sheets and their bottle and can filled shopping carts they haul on the train.
maybe they can give these conductors some hygiene tips.
Citibike is looking better every day.
First the dead shark sighting (lazy fisherman or Sharknado tie in?), now with the bedbugs.Bring on the magic biue and purple buses.Hipsters, hipsters, hipsters!
@JQ "maybe they can give these conductors some hygiene tips"
Please use your internet to look up info on bedbugs. It doesn't take "good" hygiene to avoid bedbugs. The cleanest people can and do get them. They can be picked up on buses and subways. They can take over a year to get rid of and the expense is equal to a round trip airfare to L.A.
There were already irritating, disgusting, creepy-crawly creatures on the N train before bedbugs called hipsters.
