You may want to check out this week's special edition of the
Queens Chronicle. There are interesting stories about different Queens neighborhoods: Flushing, Glendale, Howard Beach, Forest Hills, Maspeth, Jamaica, Jackson Heights, Queens Village, Rego Park and Sunnyside.

There are so many unique neighborhoods that need to be exposed other than the same old ones that everybody already knows about. Why bother writing about Sunny-side when it's constantly in the news and it's one of the oldest neighborhoods in Queens......
Why bother writing about Sunnyside? Because it's where the Chronicle's "Darling" Jimmy Van Bramer lives
Not to mention where the salaciously yummy Nepalese singing sensation Dikyi Ukyab works!
A waste of time to look at this.
These "special" issues of the weekly newspapers are only published so that the publishers can bring in the ad revenue from all the local politicians, who are compelled to place ads saying how proud they are to serve their communities. Then those politicians are endorsed by those newspapers a few months later. It's a vicious cycle.
Excellent point.
Will we see a report re Rent Guidelines Hearing at Queens Borough Hall Wednesday? Over flowing attendence. No Queens elected Reprentetives or someone from their staffs. Most interesting was missing MK and LC who were in the buiding but out of sight. Keep voting them in and you will get what you deserve folks.
The good news is that our Mayor appointed new people who for the first time that I have seen listened to the people and were polite to everyone and asked intelligent questions. Also gave small landlords alot of info to help them.
THANK YOU MAYOR.
looks to me like there's a lot more ad space from businesses than officials.
Poster 1, Which unique neighborhoods that weren't included "need to be exposed?"
If they did those, wouldn't you complain that Sunnyside wasn't included, since "it's constantly in the news and one of the oldest communities in Queens?"
Anon 7: Actually yes, there is a report in this paper and its website on the rent hearing.
