NYPD and DSNY confer Saturday after confronting employees of a local contractor for dumping debris in a vacant lot at Decatur & Irving Aves. Illegal dumping has been a problem in this area for years.
They need to be doing more of this. Hell, since this is a major problem, just create a task force of DOS & Sanitation just for this.
In Jamaica, the 103rd is trying to put a plan together with DOS to focus just on this issue. Was just talking with Sgt. Cedillo, who is trying to put this in effect in our district.
"John Saith of 87-68 114th St. was slapped with a $20,000 fine, his car was impounded, and he was ordered to appear Wednesday in court before the Environmental Control Board, Sanitation spokesman John Pampalone said."
