That's what happens when the city allows people to post signs that are not written in English. Signs like this (with not much English ) should be illegal! How do I know as a white person that this is not a terrorist threat? English equals unity!
It might not be political. I think "Relax Zone" might be a massage place, so perhaps it's a way of getting peoples' attention that they're planning to move in? Sign looks to be written in both Korean and Chinese.
I don't speak Korean or Chinese, so I'm not sure of the context, but an image search reveals this a picture of Ahn Jung-geun.
Ahn was a Korean nationalist and independence activist who assassinated Japanese Prime Minister Ito Hirobumi in 1909. Ito had been responsible for various actions bringing about the subjugation of Korea under Japanese rule, including treaties which forced Korea to give up sovereignty to the Japanese. Ahn appeared to believe that Korea, Japan and China should unite against western imperialism, and viewed Ito's policies as a threat toward unity in the region. (Recall the Opium Wars, gunship diplomacy, and so forth.)
This is America, no English then no sign! Get this s*it off that wall. I'm so sick of this. I'm not running away from my hometown, I won't sell out. I'm staying put and we should all be demanding changes. This is not right, I don't see signs written in any other languages which there are many spoken in this world. It is the same race of people who think they are above the rest: Chinese and Korean. Any ideas of how we can change the course of what Queens can do about signage and posters not readable in the English language the main language of America?!!!!
Politicians don't want to " offend" immigrants at the risk of losing votes....it's calked pandering. Let's be "sensitive" and let "them" post signs in any language they wish. America be damned!

You obviously don't get around much. ANY neighborhood with a dominant first-generation population will have signs in their native language. Spanish-Greek-Hebrew, etc.
I do agree that ALL businesses should also have an English title/description on their sign.
None of this matters here. This is some sort of exhibition piece -not the name of a business.

I do get around, travel and work in Manhattan. This sort of signage/posters with no trace of English is mainly seen from the Chinese/Korean community, Hands down they take the cake!

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. It's interesting that they went through the effort of creating the sign without a thought to communicate with people who do not read Chinese.
We don't matter. Get used to it.
Ask Joe Ragazzi...who is the proprietor of Ragazzi Gallery Antiques and who owns the whole building WTF is going on.
And WTF is "LED"...the new business that is opening there...on whose side wall this sign is posted?

For the record, the sign is in Korean.
