The Councilwoman proclaims prominently that she "fought" to close the Runway 69 strip club in Forest Hills which was short-lived, but during that same tenure in office, did the residents of Rego Park not deserve the power of her office to put pressure on a strip club that remained open for years?
Should we look into the address clustering of her highest campaign contributors for clues?
"10 to 1 odds by next year there will be a russian restaurant there"
I get the sentiment with the predominance of the Bukharians, but 10 : 1 odds too that you aren't brave or talented enough to open a business in this city.
Props to anyone who does, even if it is only for "their kind."
"Can you imagine anything like this in the other boroughs?"
Uh, yeah. You've never seen graffiti in the Bronx or Brooklyn? Or are you just playing the "We're so put upon" card?
"What's with the nastiness?"
Crapper, nastiness is the rule on your blog, not the exception. It starts with the logo and goes from there. You could ask that question after just about every other comment, and pretty much all of them when the subject is Flushing or Long Island City.
I think people come here for information, commentary and entertainment; definitely not for kind words or anyone's sunny disposition.

The comment you found so stupidly hilarious was about Joe Crowley, not graffiti on the building. Boy, did that fly over your head. Reading comprehension was never the strong suit of knee-jerkers.
Btw, the scumbag who is writing on houses and businesses on Grand Avenue, your days are numbered! We are going to make you an example for the rest of the scum.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt

Call Koslowitz and Community Board 6.
I'd pay big bucks to see them perform there. Beats the vomitorium act at the emperor's banquet.

Yea, got that right. Approached Honest Joe for some help and all it got me is email cluttering my inbox to see him perform at his own fundraiser.
Can you imagine anything like this in the other boroughs?
And the rub is the Queens residents that go swear it was great entertainment.
We get the pols were deserve people which goes a big way explaining why others sort of leave us alone....
311 is aware of it. A service request was made on Feb. 5th.
Maybe it's just what Rego Park is destined to be!

What's with the nastiness? Along that strip, chances are it will be a Russian restaurant. That's all.
Here's hoping it's NOT another Russian restaurant. Rego Park could use a little variety.
Shame to see it go. i love titties.
