Why is this news? doesn't this happen all the time, the fact that BSA gives in to developers?
being on a hill, this area escaped with almost no damage
big problem now is the subway crowding. some trains arrive at 71st with no room on them
Queens Blvd is a wasteland. If this keeps these monsters out of other parts of the city, then so be it.

I heard that every unit in that building is already sold. Although I can't confirm if that's actually true.
good luck getting your kids into PS196. the school is full. a year or two ago they had to turn kids away from the kindergarten class because there was literally no room
And it's already so easy to park in Forest Hills...
Ideally, it would be nice to see the abandoned Parkway Hospital site nearby developed into a school. But that won't happen. Nobody knows what's happening there.
i doubt these types of people are sending their kids to public schools.
I hate that blue reflective glass, just awful.
