Not sure why DOB chose this photo for its home page, but there's a violation in plain sight. Can you spot it?

its either the car parked on the sidewalk, the piece of wood placed on the window of the attic on the yellow house,or the statue of the black man talking on his cellphone obstructing the sidewalk
Perhaps DOT needs to be informed that front yard paving is a violation. We have reported several properties that paved over their front yard and each time DOT says they checked it out and noticed no violation.
These codes will never be enforced since the DOB is not regulated. They are corrupt and take bribes from all of these landlords that have destroyed the fabric of our once great city. Now it's nothing but a third world country with walled enclaves for the ultra rich.
Speaking of plates on cars, why does it seem every third car parked in queens now has Penn plates on it? On one block in glendale, there is no less than seven cars with such plates every night.
Is there even a way to file a complaint about that? I'm sure its insurance fraud.

Which one of these "fine" Queens' residences does Archie Bunker live in?
window bars?
Window bars, unless of course they have an unlatching mechanism we can't see (like the window grates on public schools have)
Cemented over front yard!
Looks like you have discovered a few more, but so far, not the one I was thinking about. Keep trying.
satellite dish on the roof is considered a fire hazard.
Well, that garish orange color should be a violation if it is not already. :~)
socks with sandals.
I vote for satelite dish or wearing white socks with sandals.
air conditioner?
Attic vent on the front of the yellow house looks out of place.
It looks to me like that car does not have a license plate and if that is the case, it must be in Jamaica.

Nah, Joe - if it was in Jamaica it would be parked on the street, not in someone's driveway...
Archie Bunker left the house over 30 years ago!
multiple satellites on one property
The house with the white and red siding has its whole front yard paved over. This is in violation of the Yards Text that was adopted five years ago.
Paul Graziano
Yes, the paving is a violation. The one that jumped out at me though was what Joe pointed to - the dead storage in the form of a car without plates.

It's not a DOT violation, it's a DOB violation.

Just like Bloomberg wanted.
Just a thought -- the plates might have been Photoshopped to look blurry or nonexistent.
Or it could be a car sitting on residential property without a plate as is easily found throughout the City. Much more likely.

The illegal basement apartments?
What block in Glendale? I'd like to see that.
