What annoyed me was the questions about the federal government, which the BP has absolutely no control over. Ask about the nuts and bolts of the BP job.
I agree with Crappy, I do not understand some of the questions that were asked of the candidates, which have no bearing what-so-ever on Queens. Talk about wasted time. High School kids probably could have asked better questions.
He was a Democrat and became a Republican when saw how much money was wasted in Washington (i.e. toilet seats, etc). But he said he really still thinks more like a Democrate)
But one thing I have noticed is the either because the panel is bought or clueless (and perhaps a bit of both?) generally the stupidest, pointless questions are asked.
The candidates make the exercise as pointless as possible usually go over their time, and dodge around the question - and this even happens on the national level.
Something unthinkable for both the panel and candidates to do years ago - but then they actually tried to take meaningful positions on things and the reporters actually did news and commentary.
Interesting editorial in today's Daily News about how Katz has taken public matching funds even though she is already sitting on a ton of money: "from Sept. 26 through Oct. 31, she [Katz] took a total of $87,060 in matching funds from the Campaign Finance Board. She does not need the money, not when running against a hopeless challenger, not when she is sitting on $104,821 in private donations."

Melinda looks particularly masculine in this video. I hope she doesn't become Melvin Katz anytime too soon, she's always full of surprises!
How cute, she uses the term, "folks", just like the Hevesi's and airlne pilots!
Melinda, how does your live-in adulterer feel about your constant bashing of the Republicans? Wish someone had the nerve to ask that question.
She's a man, baby!
OK guys, you win. He is much stronger even if he wants "lil Pete" in his administration.
When you put them together like this Tony is clearly the better candidate.

She's a handsome woman ... a handsome woman.
Does this woman, the Happy Homewrecker, own a dress. a gown, a skirt? We have to see that spread-open collar over-the-jacket lapel look ad infinitum?
A stylistic atrocity.

Vote her out. She's too friendly with the developers and is a career politician.

Is the best this borough has to question them?

Katz or Pete...we're FUCKED!
Eliminate the office of borough president.
The beeps are here to serve developers not the residents of Queens.
Name me ONE borough president, in a hundred years, that did good for us little folk?
DUMP THAT OFFICE!
It's a kickback $$$$$ exchange!
Donald Manes was its king of corruption!
Shulman came in as her boss' second.
She learned her skills well from her mentor.
