Soccer club chooses its candidates

"A 501c3 cannot participate in the political process

To whit:

7.25.3.3.4 (02-23-1999)
Express Powers that Cause Failure of Organizational Test
Directly or indirectly to participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office (Reg. 1.501(c)(3)–1 (b)(3)(ii));

This is a clear violation of their ability as a 501c3

Regards,
Look Out Queens"

Interesting.  You'd think their legal counsel would  have advised them against doing this.

The Auburndale Soccer Club is right across Francis Lewis Boulevard from their "counsel" - Don Paulo Vallone - which sez it all.

Clearly, he doesn't care about endangering the non-profit status of an organization that's supposed to be all about the kids.

Can you say hypocrite?

Whoops! !!!

I witnessed the 11-13 YO son of the chairwoman of Auburndale collecting petitions on the 73 avenue fields. I witnessed her solicit signatures from unwitting patents in order to get this crook on the ballot.

He doesn't give a crap about anyone but himself. Children and their athletic leagues who cares. Right Paulie ?

Auburndale should be fined and all the board members resign for allowing this.

They were blinded by promises from a slick snake oils salesman, shame on them.

Report the "not for profit" group to the IRS.

Don Paulo, a la famiglia di Vallone, is a thug...pure and simple.

Did he sock the soccer group with $$$$$$ (laundered from fratello Pete "junior's" discretionary city council funds) to buy their support?

The Vallones will stop at nothing to muscle into northeast Queens.

Keep the wolves from our doors and vote for the other Paul...GRAZIANO...or else accept the mafia's reign!

Vallone the-wannabe-beep has been big on young kids this year - their yellow shirts are everywhere in Astoria Park every time there is a concert sticking their petitions in people's faces.

Even Vallone's home boys are sick of him and his family.

Not only are the petitions not signed, except for a handful of clubs that cater to the Italian-Greek-Eastern European construction crowd you do not see any Vallone posters in the community.

Some one put a few up on 30th Avenue, within a few hours they were on the sidewalk where people walked on them for the next two days.

This says it all about the way the Vallones work.

They are big on multi-million dollar soccer fields for Anthony and Frankie's kids so they can grow up to be strong cement haulers and sanitation guys just like daddy.

Also, Vallones are big on showing up for 'club' openings.

Those Vallone people have no shame or knowledge of law. They better have the common sense to vote GRAZIANO in that voting booth or else we are all screwed!!!!!!! Can't they see Paul Vallone has done NOTHING to improve our community?

"Report the "not for profit" group to the IRS."

Jeez, just get them to take the sign down. I am not a soccer fan but reporting this and coming down hard on Auburndale is only going to punish the kids who play. Punish the parents and Vallone but not the boys and girls for stupid politics.

Vallone sign up in front of so many homes in the Broadway Flushing area. That's not a good sign.

Anonymous said...

It's really only near his house and because he's been pressuring people to put them up.

Someone better tell Graziano to get his butt out and start knocking on doors in the North Flushing area.

Everybody likes to asked for their vote.

Anonymous said...

Isn't it a conflict of interest for him as a not for profit board member running for office?

Graziano HAS been knocking on thousands of doors!

Maybe YOU need a little knock on your head to wake you up to what's been going on.

I'm reporting the soccer group to the IRS.
WTF are we playing here, a blackmail game?

Oh, those poor little kiddies will be denied their soccer. You sound like a typical Long Island burb-brained soccer mom.
