Disagree. NYPD is the hardest job in the world, but you and your kind will likely get your wish. It's back to the bad old days once one of these crooks is elected the next mayor.
Recently retired cop here. Yes, Stop and Frisk, when used properly, is a very effective law enforcement tool. Over the past ten years, Kelly and his administration have abused this tool by forcing cops, especially the young IMPACT rookies, to write more and more of these UF 250's. They were considered part of the Officers' "monthly activity", the primary standard by which the officer's effectiveness is measured, despite what Bloomberg and Kelly say. This abuse has led to the deterioration of trust between the NYPD and the community. Consequently, the City Council is about to make the job of police officer much easier, but it is the residents of the city who will suffer most, thanks to Kelly's gross mismanagement over the last decade.
You sound like a "retired" cop with too much time on his hands.
That being so...I would further require that ALL retired cops give up their service weapons, once they've left the force. It'll keep them out of trouble.
There's no need them to own or carry handguns after they're off the job.

Fine, don't listen to reason. Bye Queens, Bye NYC, Bye East coast. Last American out, please fold the flag.
Do you REALLY want to improve the NYPD? The ALL NYPD cops MUST live in NYC, not commute from Nassau County! ------------------------------- Have you seen recent NYPD classes? A vast majority of NYPD cops DO now live in the city. Though they are probably not the demographics you imagine and prefer.

Agreed! The NYC Gestapo needs independent review!
