From NY1:
Fire crews on Thursday responded to a construction site in Queens after a worker fell into the basement of a home that's being demolished.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. at a property located at 181-14 Kildare Road in Jamaica Estates.
Officials say the worker, who is said to be in his 30's, suffered a head injury during the fall.
He was transported to Queens Hospital Center.
The Department of Buildings ordered the work stopped until the fall can be investigated.
Here's what it used to look like:
What's coming?
"ONE FAMILY DWELLING. THE THREE FIXTURE BATHROOM LOCATED IN THE CELLAR SHALL BE USED SOLELY IN CONNECTION WITH THE DWELLING UNIT ABOVE."
Uh huh.

Sure tear down a very nice house to put up what I am sure will be some piece of shit that is totally out of context in the neighborhood. I am surprised that Jamaica Estates allows this bullshit.
Wow, it has now come to Jamaica Estates. 6 family house.

It's about time. Why should the rest of Queens feel the pain? Let's share the wealth!
Have you seen what's moving into the Estates?
The department of buildings website shows a permit for a one family house was approved on 4/30/2013.
The only PERMIT issued was for demolition. Interestingly, you can track jobs taken on by most of the different DoB-registered contractors EXCEPT demolition... however, Delta has been caught out in the past - see, for example, the notes from their ECB appeal, Appeal No. 1101202 NYC v. Delta Demo of N.Y. Inc. March 29, 2012:
