From DNA Info:

The MTA suspended J train service between Crescent Street and 121st Street after the collapse. The elevated train tracks run along Jamaica Avenue, where the building collapsed.

The building's landlord owes more than $15,000 in Department of Buildings violation penalties, for failing to maintain the structure, among other issues, according to the DOB's website.

The building was issued a partial vacate order in February 2012 for "questionable construction methods" to support the roof and second floor, according to the DOB.

Mayor Bloomberg and Christine Quinn didn’t they dismiss huge amount of DOB fines --- if you or I didn’t pay fines we will put in Rikers, at least I would.

Bloomberg, his mini-me and DOB so corrupt I just want to puke. I tried reporting DOB to Dept of Investigations and got little to no results.....Pathetic.
