From the Daily News:
Dozens of Brooklyn Navy Yard businesses were socked by hurricane floodwaters that threaten their survival.
Businesses at the city-owned Fort Greene waterfront industrial park that were hurt in the storm include the maker of Sweet ‘N Low and manufacturer IceStone - headed by the former magnate of Tweezerman - where 39 workers’ jobs are on the line.
At least 40 companies at the Navy Yard suffered an estimated $50 million in losses because of Superstorm Sandy, according to an initial tally by Navy Yard officials, spokesman Lee Silberstein said.
The complex is home to more than 275 businesses that employ about 6,000 workers.
