Bloomberg endorses Meng

From the Daily News:

Mayor Bloomberg just endorsed state Assemblywoman Grace Meng for Congress in NY-6, proving that just because you first elected as a Republican doesn't mean you're going to endorse the GOP candidate -- especially if you started out as a Democrat.

"New Yorkers demand representation in Washington that puts the needs of the taxpayers ahead of partisan politics. Grace Meng will be the independent voice in Congress that middle-class families in Queens deserve," Bloomberg said in a campaign statement moments ago that had him backing Meng over Republican City Councilman Dan Halloran.

"Whether it’s her outspoken support for sensible gun legislation to help make our streets safer or her advocacy for common sense immigration reform, Grace embodies the values that Queens’ residents care about most," Hizzoner said.

he is nuts and they are both D.I.N.O. if Crappy would not censor it ,i would add a few other choice words.

Oh...I'd take his advice....not!

Who would want his endorsement. Dan does better without it. Can not wait till his term is over.

Hey Grace please understand that a photo with Bloomberg is not a good thing however then again you are running against that lunatic Halloran. Nevermind.

Wait..... Her is the full text of Bloomberg's endorsement:
"Grace Meng is against guns blah blah blah, she is against large sugary soda drinks blah blah blah, she is against fatty food blah blah blah, she is against salty food blah blah blah, she is against todacco products blah blah blah, she is against borough residents driving into Manhattan blah blah blah, she will be the Queens and Washington lap dog for Christine Quinn so go vote for my crooked buddy Jimmy Meng's kid against the chubby cherubic faced pagan who needed to have his brain operated on because he drank too much beer and as I told you before the Irish are nothing but born drunks."

The most despicable candidates can be successfully sold to the public through sophisicated propaganda techniques.

Uh...better cut back on the pork dumplings...Gracie.
Your looking like quite a dumpling yourself these days.

Who said we have a choice?

I'm forced to choose between a ranting lunatic
(R) Halloran or a crook's daughter (D) Meng.

I think I'll sit this election out folks!

Pass me another beer.

You posters are not thinking about what's good for everyone. If Obama is elected he needs a democratic Congress to get or jobs increasing. Remember last year the US lost good bond ratings? We, you and i, need a Congress and senate to work together our we are doomed to fail... Austerity is our next option... Quit complaining and VOTE

Maybe a good enema, like an austerity program,
is what's needed in order to flush out corruption.

P.S.
I'm tired of having to vote for the proverbial
"lesser of the 2 evils".

NOT VOTING is also a form of voting!

I will still sit this one out.
I urge many of you to do the same
or vote for an alternative candidate.

Halloran,
heaven forbid, will be strictly a one termer
in Congress...should he win the election.
He will burn himself out and the USA will survive!

Grace Meng CANNOT be trusted not to sell out US interests to China, just like Gary Ackerman has for years!

Halloran. Bring in Giuliani.

Anonymous said...

Just write in your choice.

That will send a message to both parties.

Hooray for austerity!!!!!

Look at the body language in the photo. The Mayor and Meng don't want to touch each other. No handshake here.

for senior citizens to preserve their Medicare H.C.coverage and Medicare Advantage plans there must be a majority G.O.P. representation in the U.S.Senate and House of Reps.

obamacare (hi-jacking of $716 Billion from medicare) can then be repealed.if obama is is let go by the voters, the repeal will be signed.

how do you think DEM.I.N.O. MENG will vote on repeal of obamacare ?

I personally like Halloran, I just wish he was running as a Democrat and not a Republican. I'll be voting for Meng.

While I am working and will be paying federal income tax this year, in 2009 I was laid off from my job, due not only to the economy but also high level corporate politics that trashed my particular corporate department. Yes I'm one of those horrible 47% of people that paid FICA, Medicare, Social Security, phone charge and sales tax in 2009, but no income tax. So I guess I must be the lowest of the low, unlike millionaire heir Romney who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and whose father was CEO of AMC and then governor of Michigan.

"Glad I don't live in that district."

Anyone or anything, even a potted plant, has to better than Ackerman.

Write in is the only way to go. Even if you write in the nut or the slut. This way you send a message to the parties that you are fed up and maybe next time you write in a name that is not on ballot. I am, I refuse to write in either one of these career Mafiosi. I will be writing in someone else's name as should you

"So I guess I must be the lowest of the low, unlike millionaire heir Romney who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and whose father was CEO of AMC and then governor of Michigan."

So you blame Romney for his success. We should all want a successful president. I agree with you, you are the lowest of the low. You'll get what you deserve with the Dems.

Being a sort of criminal himself,
Bloomberg now backs the daughter of an indicted crook.

Grace's daddy, Jimmy Meng, awaits his day
in Federal Court.

He was arrested for accepting an $80,000 bribe
hidden inside a fruit basket.

So, how do you like them apples?

georgetheatheist said...

Just curious. When you write in someone, where is that recorded? What public records can one consult? I never see the names of write-ins when the papers publish the election results.

George -

Go to the Board of Elections website and click on the results from the elections (curiously, with all of the computers, they haven't posted the results from the September primaries yet). They have all of the votes, including the write-ins. Amazing to see how some of the names are spelled, and the Board of Elections doesn't make this easy to find, either.

Thanks. I see "Mickey Mouse" voted in the 15th Senatorial District.

I'm writing in "The Queens Crapper" for whatever in future elections.

I think you've got it George.
I'm contributing to the "Crappy for Congress Fund'
if you set it up.

That's one donation
that won't get flushed down the crapper.

I'm tired of the shitty choices we've been offered.

#19 & 20 ...facts ,substance will beat distortion, lies and an opponent who is de-tele-prompted....

Anon No. 29:

Facts will beat a candidate who changes his position every hour of every day. Is he a "severe conservative" today? Is he back to pushing the medical policies that Obamacare is based on? Does he have any beliefs at all?

The facts will tell.
