LIC restaurant to serve horse meat
From
NBC New York:
Horse meat is not something New Yorkers are accustomed to eating, but it will soon be added to the menu at the M. Wells Diner in Queens.
The owner of M. Wells said horse meat won't be on the menu on opening day, but he plans to add it soon.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's a good one!!!
We eat cow meat don't we?
.
Someday a gourmet bovine Shulman dish
might be offered somewhere.
GAG....UP-CHUCK!
Hipsters again - you know - those that justify 40 story towers full of people that will 'revitalize' our communities?
Favored by the pols because, like immigrants, they are apolitical.
Don't care about political hacks but boy oh boy craft beer and bike lanes get THEIR attention!
How disgusting to encourage the slaughter of animals which were pets and companion animals. I hope the Board of Health closes their crappy restaurant.
You have a horse as a pet? Companaion animal? Where do you live? In the Old West?
M Wells is bizarre. They occupy the space by the Hunter's Pt station, basically hanging over the train yard. It used to be a diner, and a dive bar next door. They rented the diner for a time but you could never seem to go there. They closed some time ago, now they are renovating what was the dive bar as I assume they will convert it to a dining hall. I guess they are trying to create some kind of freak show buzz right off the station so that Manhattan & Brooklyn weekend travellers will come to go their before/after their obligatory PS 1 visit or even more obligatory 5 Pointz picture-taking outing. I wonder if I will get served if I wear the wrong sort of socks.
Wow!
If PS1 could book these guys for their "Warm Up", it would be a match made in heaven!

Really? Would you eat your mudder?
Stupid idiots just looking for attention
In 2008 I spent a long holiday weekend in Iceland and my Thanksgiving dinner included horse. It was a bit gamy but not bad. I didn't feel awful about eating it; if it's moral to eat cows and chickens and pigs and etc. I don't see why it wouldn't be to eat horse. (Of course, I also had whale at the same meal and that WAS immoral.)
I don't know where they get these ball-less ninnies for these newscasts but I wish someone would tell them to act like real New Yorkers.
