I go up through Lippman Plz AKA "Bomber's Alley" it is the pigeons that will benefit from what those idiots leave behind.
Since it probably came from the McDonalds right there, -they- should make an effort to at least clean up the trash with their name on it.
Yes, there have always been, and always will be slobs and assholes who leave trash. That's not gonna change, right? Haven't businesses always been responsible for keeping their sidewalks clean? Did that law change? I didn't think so.
And Marilyn Bitterman, district manager of CB#7, is earning about $120+ a year.

What are you talking about? It isn't Flushing any more. It's Flooshing! Pretty soon you'll be asked for a passport to enter the area. Thanks to all of the elected officials to allow for the downgrade in that community.
the top picture reminds me of certain areas in the populated city of Hong Kong which I visited.. where you see some people just sleep on the city's bench.
Does anyone else remeber stepping over the sleeping vagrants on the sidewalk in the middle of the day on Roosevelt Ave in the late 70s / early 80s? It wasn't as crowded then and the subway didn't have entrances by Lippmann so there was more room to climb over them.

No boys in blue to be seen...just gypsy cabs honking their horns at the bus stop looking for business.
You only see cops during the day
when school lets out.
Then they vanish to Dunkin Donuts.
I love watching the pigeons fly off with mouth fulls of low mein noodles left behind in the tree wells.
The rotting chow fun remains there for the rodents consumption...too heavy for flight.
